Massimo Fenati was born in Genoa (Italy) in 1969 and completed a masters degree in Architecture at the University of Genoa in 1994. The following year he moved to London and started working with Jasper Morrison, in whose Office for Design he developed a number of furniture and product projects. At the same time he started his own activity as a product and furniture designer. After 5 years, in 2000 he left Jasper Morrisons office and set up his own studio in London. His free-lance activity brought him to collaborate with Daniel Weil at Pentagram on a series of furniture and interior projects for United Airlines. Between late 2001 and spring 2003, Massimo also worked part-time on the development of the product and furniture design department at David Chipperfield Architects.
