I love to draw
Give me pencil and paper, or a digital pen and a Wacom tablet, and I’m a happy man. So whatever job involves drawing, I will throw myself into it with a lot of passion.
I was born and raised in Italy. After an MA in Architecture, I moved to London where I worked for years on 3D stuff, like furniture and products. But my childhood love for comic books led me to a new career as illustrator when I started my first series of Gus & Waldo books. The natural step after that was animation.
So these are a few things I do nowadays:
-
COMICS AND GRAPHIC NOVELS
So far I've published 7 comic books in UK, Italy and other countries. And I always doodle cartoons that end up in my social media.
-
EDITORIAL ILLUSTRATIONS
I love the challenge of coming up with a concept to convey the gist of an article. It's not just about the visuals but also about the thinking behind them.
-
CHILDREN'S STUFF
I've published comic strips for kids on Italian newspapers and I'm developing concepts for books, but I also enjoy collaborating with writers.
-
TV GRAPHICS
From programme branding to title sequences, stings and bumpers, I produce all sorts of images and motion graphics for TV shows.
